PIO Qualifications Announcement

Course requirements for the Public Information Officer (PIOF) position have recently changed. The attached announcement describes the changes in requirements. To minimize the impact to current PIOF and PIO2 trainees, the effective date for both changes will be 6/1/2011 with the annual release of the Wildland Fire Qualification System Guide
(PMS 310-1).

Additionally, changes in IQCS and IQS will be committed on 6/1/2011.
