Requested Data Standards

The following requests have been received for proposed development or modification of data standards. Requests are continually reviewed by the Data Standards and Terminology Subcommittee and NWCG branch coordinators. As workloads and priorities allow, requests will be assigned to appropriate stewardship groups. When requests are assigned, they will be moved to the "Assigned Data Standards" lists.

Data Element Standards

Status, Date Name Request / Proposal
Requested (New), 3/18/2013 Estimated Costs to Date The estimated costs to date are being tracked and reported during the life of an incident by the ICS-209.   Other applications such as EGP and Inciweb report this information gathered by the ICS-209.  IRWIN will be collecting and disseminating this value.
Requested (New), 9/4/2013 Forest Service Job Code, Forest Service Override Code Create a standard to describe the code used to indicate the Forest Service job accounting and override codes for the incident.  This is specific to the Forest Service.  This value is currently tracked by CAD systems.  IRWIN will be collecting and disseminating this value.
Requested (New) 9/4/2013 Incident Dispatch Center ID Create a standard to describe a unique identifier for a dispatch center responsible for supporting the incident.  This value is currently tracked by CAD systems.  IRWIN will be collecting and disseminating this value.
Requested (New) 7/5/2013 Total Incident Personnel Create a new data standard for total number of personnel assigned. Includes overhead, crew members, helicopter crew member, engine crew members, camp crew people, etc.  NWCG currently has a standard for Initial Response Resource Quantity.  However, the total incident personnel which is recorded on the ICS-209 form does not have a standard.
