• All should have the CD on hand!
• Draft announcement out for group review – send comments to Roberta by COB Friday, 3/16. Announcement will be distributed once we confirm that the product is available for purchase at Symbols.
• Maureen will submit information to Symbols by March 21, 2007.

National Fire Prevention and Education Teams.

• Rick developed a Program Plan and a PPT that Maureen presented this information at the coordinator’s meeting starts on March 6. Some minor typos on the program to be corrected.
• Meeting went well; Maureen worked to clarify team ordering procedures.
• The meeting produced a number of questions and Maureen will work with Rick to respond to the Q/A and respond to the Q/A’s by March 30.
• Team Leader’s course will be offered in May 14(Denver) and possibly a Team Member course in Florida sometime. Maureen will contact the regional coordinator to confirm that the course is open to all.

• Parent group sent out information on the upcoming restructuring of NFAEB and NWCG. Maureen will send it to the group and work with Roberta on the response. (To be discussed the week of March 19, Maureen to call Roberta.)
• WFEWT is the “guest” for the parent group meeting in May. Roberta will attend on Maureen’s behalf.
• Roberta to review the team PPT and possibly incorporate into a hand-out for distribution at the parent group meeting and for team members to use for informational purposes.

• Maureen continuing to work with the contracting group.
• P-310 and 101 should be available at the cache at the end of the month. Rick will do an announcement for 101 and Maureen will to an announcement for 310. Announcements will be out by April group phone call. Roberta will also do an announcement for S-203.

• The ISWT is reviewing Position Task Books, Pat discussed the PETL and PETM task books and will send all team members the into, Maureen and Rick will respond on behalf of the team.

• Maureen working with Paula Nasiatka and LLC is supportive of the concept. The intent is to have the webpage completed May 1.

• Catherine has received good feedback from team members and has additional ideas for fallback stories – a good position to be in. No immediate needs from Catherine but she will be keeping tabs on team members. Deadline for submitting articles to Catherine is the end of September.

May 2007 Meeting

• Hotel information sent to team members – make your reservations as soon a possible.
• Travel days are Monday and Thursday afternoon, May 21 and May 24 respectively.
• Maureen, Germaine and Roberta discussed the agenda, invited guests and field trip possibilities. Draft agenda should be available for the group for the April phone call.

• Maureen to touch base with Alan, re: group meeting possibilities. More follow-up in the future. Fall meeting scheduled for the week of October 22, 2007, location in the northeast part of the country.

• Pat continues to work on the glossary project.
• Pat will complete forms and share with the team and advise team member about a due date.

• Cited some concern on whether P-301 is actually available for sale.
• Maureen will send updated contact lists to team members.

• Bernie will send team members the updated PPT, Roberta will touch base with the NWCG webmaster to see if the PPT is posted.
• Lou’s old job is open – applicants wanted!

• Status of Thank-You notes – Maureen will double check if they were sent out.

• FWS fire outreach coordinators (regional representatives on the FWS National Fire Outreach Team) will be in Boise the week of March 19.
• Fire Message Catalogue is being developed into a CD, along with other products and activities.
• FWS and TNC are working jointly on fire briefings.

• Facilitated the Alaska Interagency “Fire Education Working Committee” group in early March and it went well. The Alaska group has produced Alaska messages based on the NWCG WFEWT messages and these have been received well.
• Roberta volunteered to do a draft to reissue the Fire Messages for the summer 2007 season. (Due date: April 19, 2007.)
• Roberta will work with the NWCG Webmaster regarding the electronic bibliography.
