FY2000 Accomplishment Report

The NWCG Electronic Bibliography went on line in the spring of 2000. This bibliography has received very positive comments. Future plans include an annual update and an expansion of topic areas in 2001.

The projects in the team’s Arson Grant Project have concluded. A final report is being prepared and will be available on the team web page.

The Fire Ecology brochure is continuing in progress and will be available in the spring of 2001. The summer fire season interrupted the work of NIFC personnel who were assisting the team in this project.

The Communicators Guide for Fire Ecology is nearing completion and will be available in the spring of 2001. It will be on the website and also at the Center of Excellence. This project is identified in the team’s education strategy for the implementation of the fire use messages in the Federal Fire Policy.

The team met twice in FY 2000, in Quincy, MA in October 1999 and in Columbia Gorge, WA in February 2000. WFEWT conducted one conference call in December 1999 and prepared and delivered two presentations about the team to the parent group and to the Northwest Forest Fire Prevention Work Group.
