Service List

The National Incident Feature Services (NIFS) hosted by Fire Enterprise Geospatial Portal (EGP) are available as either a Map or Feature Service for those with an EGP login and the Geographic Information System Specialist (GISS) role.

Map services deliver uneditable data with predefined symbology, best for display-only web maps and apps. Some services are only available as a map service. A Feature Service is required for all the most common needs of a GISS. They allow for Sync, which enables data editing as well as the option to be taken “offline” in applications such as ArcGIS Pro and Collector.

These services are available as Production Services to be used during active incidents only or as Training Services that can be used for mobile and desktop training for incidents. Service URLs are listed on the Access page. Both sets of services are identical in organization.
