Incident Business Support for Critical Incident Peer-to-Peer Groups & Procuring Clinical Specialists

Discussion in length on the two parts of this issue (1) currently there is no way to transfer funds for Critical Incident Peer-to-Peer Groups between agencies and (2) the need to procure clinical specialists for emergency incidents, specifically paying for these services for non-fire emergencies.

The DOI has a signed MOA that allows for sharing of resources during emergencies; however it is unclear if ordering Critical Incident Peer Support Groups for an emergency constitutes an emergency and is included in the MOA. Also, this MOA does not allow transfer of funds from the DOI to the FS and vice versa.

Jeff will talk with Sarah and Steve Gage on the status of a possible BPA to hire clinical specialists for emergency incidents. Jeff will also talk to personnel in Grants and Agreements to see about the possibility of a national interagency agreement to transfer funds for non-fire emergencies when Critical Incident Peer Support Groups are needed. There may be an opportunity to use Service First to help facilitate money transfer.

IIBMH Rewrite

Billie has put together the memo to solicit comments for the IIBMH. IBC will need to establish review and rewrite teams. IBC will submit names for the teams to Billie by June 24th, who will then consolidate the list and send out to IBC by July 9, 2014. During July’s conference call IBC will determine who the leads are for the teams.

Once the teams are established, Tim will set up a meeting with Publications and IBC will continue to work on memo to solicit comments for IIBMH.

Contact: NWCG Webmaster

The National Wildfire Coordinating Group is thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to https://www.nwcg.gov, involving a comprehensive redesign of over 7,000 web pages. This enhancement is focused on improving user experience. The migration to the new NWCG website will commence on April 2, 2024, starting at noon EST and is expected to take a few hours.

During the migration period, as the www.nwcg.gov domain-name-location updates across the Internet, you might encounter either the current or the new site depending on your location. We request your patience during this transition. If you are not redirected to the new site by April 3, 2024, we recommend clearing your browser’s cache and refreshing the page.

Please note that while navigating the revamped website, there may be instances of broken links or errors. Our dedicated web migration team has made significant efforts to minimize such issues prior to launch and will promptly address any that arise via use of analytic reports. We value your patience and understanding as we work towards enhancing your overall website experience.
