This refresher is intended to update qualified and trainee Prescribed Fire Burn Bosses at all complexity levels on current issues and recent developments related to prescribed fire while reinforcing existing skills and knowledge.

Course Objectives

National, regional, and local prescribed fire policy updates and issues of importance to prescribed fire practitioners.

The proposed definition is: Practical guidance provided for incident personnel in a manner in which incident objectives can be achieved while reducing impacts to identified resources across the landscape. RPMs are informed by, but not restricted to, Minimum Impact Strategies and Tactics (MIST).
