Distribution

Instructor-Led Training

Instructor-led training course materials are distributed in several ways. The majority of NWCG course material is available for download from the NWCG Course Catalog on the Wildland Fire Learning Portal. Some course material is available for order from the NFES Catalog – Part 2: Publications, PMS 449-2. The materials for a small number of NWCG courses have limited distribution managed by course steering committees

Online Training

Online training material (including the online component of blended courses) is available through Learning Management Systems (LMSs). The Wildland Fire Learning Portal hosts the majority of NWCGs online training materials. Some NWCG online courses are also available from other agency LMSs, such as the National Fire Administration NFA Online.

Training Course Index & Data

The NWCG Data Management Committee and the NWCG Training Program maintain the information associated with NWCG training courses. This is housed in the NWCG Training Course Index, which is managed and displayed through the TopBraid EDG Explorer database platform.
